Our Story

Legacy Hoops was created by coaches who want a better AAU experience—one centered on players, growth, and community. Our goal has always been simple: surround athletes with high-level coaches who teach, lead, and care.

When players leave the program, we want them to be proud of the legacy they leave behind for future generations of players and to build a network of program alumni to support each other both in basketball and ventures in life.

FAQs

What grade levels do you offer?

Currently we have teams for boys starting in 8th grade through 12th grade. We are aiming to add teams for girls in the near future!

What is the mission?

Building on our statement in the about us tab, we aim to be different than traditional AAU programs by providing players with high level coaching, a focus on fundamentals and skills over game time, and do our best to help players achieve their long and short term goals on the court. We try to build a relationship and network with our player’s high school coaches so we can all be on the same page when they go back for summer and winter school ball.

Where do you compete?

Legacy Hoops AAU competes in top tournaments across New England and the tri-state area. Practices are located at Pick Up USA for Manchester teams and Gilford Hills for Lakes Region teams unless communicated otherwise by the coaching staff.

What is included in the cost?

Team fees will cover gym rental for practice, tournament fees, uniforms and travel gear, and coach travel expenses. Hotels and meals for travel are not covered by the program. Financial assistance is available and cost can be reduced following sponsorship and fundraising contributions.

How do I register?

Fill out the registration form at the bottom of the home page and a program representative will be in touch with more details.

Can beginners join the program?

We welcome players at all skill levels aiming to grow and reach their goals! However, we do not guarantee roster spots or playing time. If we have numbers and available coaches that we are open to creating additional teams to take as many players as possible. This is only if we believe it would be beneficial for the players.

Everything is earned in this program, but we highly encourage all players to attend skill camps whether it is ours, other programs, or both and talk with the coaches about additional opportunities to improve.
